Aggressive Recurrent Urachal Adenocarcinoma : A Case Report And Review Of The Literature

Recurrent urachal adenocarcinomas are rare. It is commonly associated with poor prognosis. A 51-year-old woman underwent a partial cystectomy for cancer in 2014. She was well throughout follow-up annual cystoscopies. presented 1-month history of rapidly progressive suprapubic mass and hematuria. contrasted computed tomography scan the thorax, abdomen pelvis showed large mixed solid cystic tumour at right lumbar region, area also pouch Douglas. refused surgical extirpation now on chemotherapy. Urachal adenocarcinoma rare, resection advocated; usually, no standard adjuvant therapy advocated. cancers represent management dilemma, protocols exist.
